Our 12V 100W Steel Emergency Light with MR16 Lamps is a spec-grade classic, 18-gauge steel battery enclosure that is powder-coated with an off-white baked enamel finish which protects the body from corrosion and impact (black available upon request). This model uses several 12V Lead Calcium batteries and efficient MR16 floodlamps to make a heavy-duty fixture that provides a 360-minute emergency lighting runtime.
Battery
Four (4) semi-sealed 12 volt Lead Calcium batteries are Included with this commercial-grade steel emergency light. This gel-type power source does not require top-offs with water and does not spill excess gas or corrode like conventional lead calcium. Spare LC batteries can be stored on the shelf for over 20 years, and last about 8-Years when powering the LS series.
PLEASE NOTE: due to the large batteries, the re-charge time can be around 48 hours to reach full capacity.
Maintenance Profile
A removable front panel on the cabinet provides quick access to the battery and charging circuit. For periodic UL924-mandated testing and battery discharge, a push-to-test button on the side of the housing allows maintenance personnel to quickly ascertain the operational status of the fixture and lamp load. Above the switch is a dual diagnostic LED display indicating AC/ON and High Charge.
Save a little money on maintenance costs with the optional Autotest (AT) feature which constantly monitors the status of the battery voltage, input voltage, lamps, battery and switching circuitry. Autotest will also perform a 30-second test monthly and a 90-minute battery discharge every six months, per code. Choose between Audible and Non-Audible alarm settings.
