Product Description
Your ferry boat takes hundreds of cars from one end of Lake Erie to the next every single day. A recent safety inspection pointed out the need for non-metallic backup lights on the weatherdecks and pilot house. However, your ship uses a 220 volt Canadian input voltage and every fixture you search online only has USA standard 120/277V input. Time is ticking till your next inspection. What do you do?
Buy the 220V 50Hz Outdoor Emergency Light, a wet location-friendly fixture ideal for high-pressure hose-down areas. Instead of steel or plastic housing, the IEL series is constructed with a fiberglass cabinet that is resistant to corrosion and sun-damage. An industrial gray finish is standard, and there are several terminal connectors on the housing flanks to connect remote flood lights. This model includes two (2) top-mounted 9-watt wedge base incandescent, Par36-style heads. These heads are fully-adjustable and molded from impact-resistant thermoplastic in a black color.
Each IEL-6-18-9W-220VHZ model we sell is individually tested in the factory to NEMA 4X standards, a series of brutal wash-down tests to ensure the gaskets and housing stay completely sealed. This makes it a far superior unit than most fixtures which only carry a UL/CSA Wet Location listing.
Battery Testing
The IEL-6-18-9W-220VHZ comes two (2) maintenance free 6 volt sealed valve regulated lead acid batteries. These batteries are rated to keep the lighting heads illuminated for at least 90 minutes, and requires only 48-hours to fully re-charge.
For periodic CSA-mandated testing, a push-to-test switch on the side of the housing allows maintenance personnel to quickly ascertain the operational status of the fixture and lamp load. Above the switch is a dual diagnostic LED display indicating AC/ON and High Charge.
Looking to save a little money on maintenance costs? Get the optional Autotest (AT) feature which constantly monitors the status of the battery voltage, input voltage, lamps, battery and switching circuitry. Autotest will also perform a 30-second test monthly and a 90-minute battery discharge every six months, per code. Maintenance teams are instantly alerted to problems via a multi-color LED: Green (normal), Yellow (lamp malfunction) and Red (battery/circuit malfunction).
