The SAF-42-F-U-G-G-W-EM is the most versatile hazardous location area light in our catalog. It is tested to the highest UL and ETL standards for highly corrosive, wet environments with high concentrations of explosive dust and particles.
ConstructioN
The medium base housing, outlet box and lens retaining ring on the SAF-42-F-U-G-G-W-EM is constructed with copper-free aluminum with a white baked-on powder epoxy for increased protection against salt water. This model includes a 3/4" wall mounting bracket.
To protect and seal the lamp inside, our 42W CFL Hazardous Location Light with Emergency Battery Backup has a heat resistant internally prismatic glass globe which provides a full 360° lighting pattern. A high strength fiberglass reinforced polycarbonate guard provides added protection to the lamp and globe. The lamp, ballast and other components can be accessed via a large gasketed hinge at the top of the fixture.
Light Source
The SAF-42-F-U-G-G-W-EM includes a 42W 4-Pin compact fluorescent lamp (not included).
Emergency Ballast
In the event of a power failure, the SAFs secondary emergency ballast kicks in and keeps the CFL lit at a reduced light output. Runtime is no less than 90 minutes when fully charged.
The housing includes a sealed LED indicator light/test switch for performing scheduled maintenance.
