This is the truly "universal" edge-lit exit sign as it is capable of both surface and recessed mountings, plus single or double-sided configurations. This can all be accomplished on-site, so there's no worry for ordering specific models, this sign adapts to all applications!

Approved for use throughout the five boroughs, this attractive exit sign comes can be in-field configured to be either single-sided or double-sided. It can also be configured in-field to be either surface or recess mounted. Both surface and recess mounting models are capable of being install onto the wall, or onto the ceiling. This exit sign can adapt to any application that you have and is UL924 Listed fo the US and Canada. The sign comes with a 90-minute battery backup and push-button for easy maintenance testing.

Construction

The NY900U-WB-SR-BA is constructed with a minimalist inspired, brushed-aluminum housing with black thermoplastic end caps. You can also choose between an all black housing, or all white housing. The bottom exit plate is a snap-in acrylic panel with rounded edges. A red 8" tall sized 'EXIT' stencil is painted on the inside of the acrylic. Single face units will be transparent while double face signs have a mirrored mylar sheet within the panel, mimicking the appearance of a see-through panel.

The NY900U-WB-SR-BA has a unique pivot system that allows you to adjust the angle of the sign panel in the field. It also includes a universal mounting canopy that allows you to mount to a wall, ceiling or sloped surface.

Battery

This Adjustable New York City Edge Lit Exit Sign model includes a 3.6-volt 900mAH Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd) battery pack. It provides emergency backup power to the exit sign for at least 90 minutes, and only requires 24-hours to fully recharge. Ni-Cd is the longest lasting battery type available, lasting an average of 15 years.

A push-to-test switch and LED pilot light on the side of the housing endocarp, allowing you to test the emergency readiness of the fixture. The LED will flash if any fault is detected in the circuit, LED lights or battery.
