The Chicago Wet Location Emergency Light is affordable and durable, featuring a NEMA 4X rated waterproof housing and (2) powerful, -watt top-mounted lamps. This weatherproof model is favored for all types of outdoor commercial applications. This fixture comes with a 3-year warranty and connects to either 120V or 277V electricity. A sealed lead acid battery provides a minimum 90-minutes of emergency power and features a UL924 Listing use in Chicago and the United States. The Chicago Wet Location Emergency Light is approved by the Chicago Department of Buildings for use throughout the city. They are readily kept in stock, and are suited for cities with warmer climates. Order the "IH" internal battery heater option for installation locations where the temperature drops below 30°F in the wintertime. The "IH" option features a thermostatic battery heater that insures the fixture operates even in frigid conditions. Construction

The CHI-WEL-6-24-2-12W is built with a grey fiberglass battery box that is totally resistant to water and corrosion. Our Wet Location Emergency Light sports two (2) 12W incandescent lamps which can be a positioned and locked to meet your escape plans. 

Battery Testing

The CHI-WEL-6-24-2-12W comes with a maintenance free 6 volt 10Ah Sealed Lead Acid batteries. These batteries are rated to keep the lighting heads illuminated for at least 90 minutes, and requires only 24-hours to fully re-charge. 

For periodic UL-mandated testing, a sealed push-to-test switch on the side of the housing allows you to quickly ascertain the operational status of the fixture and lamp load. Above the switch is a dual diagnostic LED display indicating AC/ON and High Charge.
