The SAF-42-F-U-G-G-W-EMO is the most versatile hazardous location area light in our catalog. It is tested to the highest UL and ETL standards for highly corrosive, wet environments with high concentrations of explosive dust and particles.It stays off during normal hours when AC power is flowing, and activates when a power failure is detected in the circuit

Construction

The ballast housing, outlet box and lens retaining ring on the SAF-42-F-U-G-G-W-EMO is constructed with copper-free aluminum, powder coated with a white baked-on epoxy finish for increased protection against corrosive atmospheres. This model includes a 3/4" wall mounting bracket

To protect and seal the lamp inside, our Class 1, 2, & 3 Rated Hazardous Location Emergency Light with 42W CFL has a heat resistant internally prismatic glass globe which provides a full 360° lighting pattern. A high strength fiberglass reinforced polycarbonate guard provides added protection to the lamp and globe. The lamp, ballast and other components can be accessed via a large gasketed hinge at the top of the fixture.

Light Source

The SAF-42-F-U-G-G-W-EMO utilizes a 42W 4-Pin compact fluorescent lamp (not included). 

Emergency Ballast 

In the event of an emergency power failure, the SAF's low-voltage detection will trigger the emergency battery pack which starts the AC ballast that illuminates the compact fluorescent lamp for no less than 90 minutes.

The housing includes a sealed LED indicator light/test switch for performing scheduled maintenance.
