Product Description

You are the Electrical Contractor in charge of lighting a new off-shore oil rig, which needs close to 40 marine-rated, high-output light fixtures to illuminate catwalks along the derrick. You also need battery backup lighting units to guide workers to safety in case the power plant goes down. The XP-T5HO-4-2L-U-EM is a 4ft CSA and UL Marine Outside rated fixture that utilizes efficient, high intensity fluorescent tubes. It can be surface mounted to a wall or ceiling and provides a broad, even light pattern over your work area. The XP series is UL and CSA certified for the roughest, toughest hazardous locations.

Construction

Our Class 1 Div 1 Explosion Proof 4' T5HO Light with Emergency Battery Backup is constructed with a corrosion resistant aluminum alloy housing and features screw-on end caps for easy access to the T5HO lamps inside. The XP features an over-size finned ballast housing on top that provides optimal heat dissipation. 

The XP-T5HO-4-2L-U-EM has impact and heat resistant glass tubes that protect the lamps inside. The lamps are set into spring-loaded sockets for maximum protection against vibration and shock.

Light Source

The  XP-T5HO-4-2L-U-EM comes fully-assembled for ease of installation, and includes two (2) teflon-coated 54W T5 high output fluorescent tubes. These high output fluorescent tubes provide a far-reaching lighting pattern from overhead. This high bay industrial fluorescent can be mounted as high as 20-feet and still provide ample UL and CSA required ground illumination.

Emergency Ballast

In the event of a power failure, a secondary emergency battery pack will automatically engage the AC ballast, keeping a single T5HO lamp lit at a reduced light output. It has a minimum 90 minute runtime when fully charged per UL and CSA emergency lighting codes.

The housing includes a sealed LED indicator light/test switch for performing scheduled maintenance.
