Your woodworking plant is almost ready to open but there's one last nagging detail - there are no emergency lights in the paint spray booth. Due to the volatility of the paint fumes this location is deemed a Class I Division 1 hazardous location, requiring airtight, heavy duty fixtures that won't cause an explosion.

Our Class 1 Division 1 Emergency Light with One Lamp is all you need to make the booth operational. This explosion proof fixture features a durable lighting globe that contains an adjustable 8W halogen lamps, providing egress pathway lighting on two axis.

Construction

The battery cabinet of the EXC2-1IA is constructed of corrosion-resistant cast aluminum and coated with an epoxy finish for added protection against foul weather. A gasketed spin-off cover allows access to the circuit board and battery.Once the cover is tightened, the fixture becomes totally self contained, and will not admit even the tiniest explosive particle.

Illumination

This industrial harsh location battery unit has one (1) side mounted 8W halogen lighting globe, connected by a 3/4" conduit. The swivel-mounted Pyrex lenses can be removed to position the internal lighting heads to your desired location.

Battery

The EXC2-1IA includes a 6-volt nickel cadmium battery pack which lasts up to fifteen years and has a wider temperature threshold than SLA and lead calcium types.
