A new Naval Warship is almost ready to be christened, but there's one last detail - there are no emergency lights in the paint mixing locker. Due to the volatility of the paint fumes this location is deemed a Class I Division 1 hazardous location, requiring airtight, heavy duty fixtures that won't cause an explosion.

Our Class 1 Division 1 Halogen Emergency Light is just the solution you need. This explosion proof fixture features two durable lighting globes that contain a adjustable 9W halogen lamps, providing egress pathway lighting on two axis.

Construction

The battery cabinet of the EXC1-2HB is constructed of corrosion-resistant cast aluminum and coated with an epoxy finish for added protection against foul weather. A gasketed spin-off cover allows access to the circuit board and battery.Once the cover is tightened, the fixture becomes totally self contained, and will not admit even the tiniest explosive particle.

Illumination

This industrial harsh location battery unit has two (2) side mounted 9W halogen lighting globes, connected by 3/4" conduits. The swivel-mounted Pyrex lenses can be removed to position the internal lighting heads to your desired location.

Battery

The EXC1-2HB includes a 6-volt nickel cadmium battery pack which lasts up to fifteen years and has a wider temperature threshold than SLA and lead calcium types.
