Product Description

As the Electrical Contractor in charge of lighting a new off-shore oil platform, you need to source over 100 marine-rated, high-output light fixtures to light catwalks along the derrick. Since explosive gases are exhausted close to the structure, you will need Class 1 Division 2 Explosion Proof 4-Foot 3-Lamp 54W T5HO Fluorescent Lights, which meet the most stringent lighting fixture guidelines. 

Construction

The MHDAT5HO43U is constructed with a low copper aluminum housing and sprayed with a baked on white polyester finish. This heavy duty wet location luminaire features two (2) 3/4" aluminum hubs for conduit entry. Two (2) steel mounting feet are included for convenient surface installation.

The Class 1 Division 2 Explosion Proof 4-Foot 3-Lamp 54W T5HO Fluorescent Light has a 1/8" thick semi-clear acrylic lens, held by stainless steel locking latches. A silicon gasket creates an airtight seal between the lens and the housing, and preventing high pressure water and explosive gases from entering the housing.

Light Source

The MHDAT5HO43U uses three (3) F54T5HO lamps (not included). These high output fluorescent tubes provide a far-reaching lighting pattern from overhead. This high bay industrial fluorescent can be mounted as high as 30-feet and still provide ample UL and CSA required illumination.
