The most ideal light for high seismic activity is our patented Class I Division 2 Vaportight Fluorescent with Emergency Ballast. This fully sealed shock-proof fixture keeps your work areas lit, even when the generator goes down and leaves the rest of the drilling facility in total darkness.
Construction

The versatile Class I Division 2 Vaportight Fluorescent with Emergency Ballast can be pivoted in a 360° arc using the end caps as axis. This allows you to illuminate different work areas in the vicinity depending on the task.
The MAR800 has a shatter and heat resistant acrylic lens, with extruded aluminum lens frame for extra durability. A silicon gasket creates an airtight seal between the lens and the housing, earning the MAR an IP66 watertight rating.
Light Source
The MAR800-4-U-EM uses two (2) 4' 60W high output T12 fluorescent tubes (not included). These super bright lamps can provide ample UL-approved lighting from a 20-ft distance. This model includes spring loaded sockets to prevent the lamps from coming loose due to vibration,
Emergency Ballast
In the event of a power failure, the MAR800 includes a secondary emergency battery pack that maintains power to the AC ballast, keeping a single T12 lamp running at a reduced light output. Runtime is no less than 90 minutes when fully charged.
The housing includes a sealed LED indicator light/test switch for performing scheduled maintenance.
