Construction 

The CP-EMW-8-LED-BR-IH1 is designed with a pleasing rounded die cast aluminum backplate that is powder coated with a corrosion-resistant satin-aluminum finish. Two (2) 3.6W  MR16 LED heads provide ample lighting and are not affected by cold weather like halogen and fluorescent. A clear, UV stabilized polycarbonate faceplate protects the lighting heads from vandalism, water and dust. 

The CP Series is UL Wet Location Listed and IP66-rated, and all connecting pieces are sealed with a silicone gasket that prevents dust, moisture or water from leaking into the fixture. 

The MR16 LED Wet Location Emergency Light can be mounted to just about any wall or ceiling surface via a universal knockout pattern and key hole slots in the mounting backplate, which are also sealed with a neoprene gasket.

Battery and UL Testing

The CP-EMW-8-LED-BR-IH1 is packaged with a 6V Nickel Metal Hydride battery that supplies emergency power for at least 90 minutes. Ni-Mh gel-type batteries do not require top-offs or outgassing, and will last up to eight (8) years and has a higher temperature threshold than sealed lead acid batteries. 

The battery heater is self-powered and monitors inside temperature at all times. Whenever the temperature drops below 40°F, the warmer kicks in and compensates, maintaining the batteries optimal working condition.
