The Compact Cold Weather Exit Sign Combo with Red Letters is a two for one solution designed for use in freezing temperatures as low as -4ºF. This model features a red LED exit sign combined with (2) brilliant, top-mounted LED lamps. This model comes with an internal heater which keeps the battery backup system warm and ready to operate when freezing temperatures occur. The fixture is completely waterproof and designed for use outdoors and in all types of wet locations.
Construction
The housing of the Compact Cold Weather Exit Sign Combo with Red Letters is made from weatherproof, flame-retardant polycarbonate. The clear faceplate protects the red EXIT legend and is rated for contact with liquid, dust, and other similar types of materials. A neoprene gasket creates a watertight seal between the lens and housing, which ensures moisture does not enter.
Installation
This exit sign and emergency light combo can be configured in the field for single and double-sided applications, making it truly universal. The EXIT faceplates feature a set of directional chevron arrows that can be removed, allowing the exit path direction to be easily indicated.
Maintenance
The Compact Cold Weather Exit Sign with Red Letters comes with a 4.8V nickel-cadmium battery backup system which operates both the exit sign and (2) emergency lights for at least 90-minutes once electrical power has been lost. An external push-button allows for easy testing of the battery at any time.
Compliance
This cold weather exit sign combo is UL924 Listed for indoor and outdoor use in wet locations. Approved for use in cold environments where temperatures can reach -4ºF.
