The Compact Cold Weather Exit Sign with Red Letters is designed for use in freezing environments where temperatures can drop as low as -4ºF. The fixture comes with an internal heater that keeps the battery backup system warm and ready to operate when freezing temperatures are present. The sign is completely waterproof and can be used outdoors and in all types of wet location applications.
Construction
The housing of the Compact Cold Weather Exit Sign with Red Letters is constructed from weatherproof, flame-resistant polycarbonate. The clear faceplate protects the red EXIT stencil and can handle contact with dust, liquid, and other materials. The silicone gaskets create a waterproof seal between the lens and the housing, ensuring that no moisture can enter.
Installation
This model comes with a universal design, which means that it can be configured in the field for both single and double-sided applications. The EXIT faceplates also include knockout directional arrows, which allows you to easily indicate the egress path direction.
Maintenance
The Compact Cold Weather Exit Sign with Red Letters comes with a 4.8V nickel-cadmium battery backup system. If power is lost the unit will operate via battery for a minimum of 90-minutes. A push-button allows the battery to be tested at any time.

This model is UL924 Listed for indoor and outdoor use in wet locations. Suitable for use in cold environments where temperatures can reach -4ºF.
