Do you just need the most basic steel emergency light model that will meet the OSHA-required 90-minute emergency runtime? Get the Compact Steel Emergency Light, a truly commercial-grade egress fixture with an ideal backup battery source for isolated redundant UPS systems.
The CSEL-6-18-2-9W has a compact 20-gauge steel battery cabinet, powder-coated with an off-white baked enamel finish which protects the body from impact and corrosion (black available upon request). This model includes two (2) top-mounted 9-watt wedge base incandescent, Par36-style heads. These floodlights are fully-adjustable and molded from impact-resistant thermoplastic in a matching color.
Battery
A sealed 6 volt Lead Calcium battery is included. This gel-type power source does not require top-offs with water and does not spill excess gas or corrode like conventional lead calcium.
Maintenance Profile
A hinged cabinet door on the front provides quick access to the battery and charging circuit. For periodic UL-mandated testing and battery maintenance, a push-to-test switch on the side of the housing allows maintenance personnel to quickly ascertain the operational status of the fixture and lamp load. Above the switch is a dual diagnostic LED display indicating AC/ON and High Charge.
Save a little money on maintenance costs with the optional Autotest (AT) feature which constantly monitors the status of the battery voltage, input voltage, lamps, battery and switching circuitry. Autotest will also perform a 30-second test monthly and a 90-minute battery discharge every six months, per code. Choose between Audible and Non-Audible alarm settings.
