The OE2-636-LR1C-5WLED-S comes as single face (transparent) or double face (mirrored) panel and includes a recessed backbox housing for installation in drywall or tiled ceiling boards. Two recessed high output floodlights on either side of the housing trim will illuminate an escape path during a power outage and stay off during normal hours. The exit sign stays lit in both normal AC operation and for at least 90 minutes in emergency mode.

Construction

The OE2-636-LR1C-5WLED-S has an unfinished cast aluminum backbox housing & junction box which conceal into the ceiling. The backbox has adjustable hanger bars for securing to joists. Other than the 'EXIT' panel and emergent lamps, only a white aluminum trim will be visible to employees and customers. The emergency lamps are two (2) hand-adjustable 10-watt halogen MR16 lamps that produce bright pathway illumination. 

The bottom exit panel of the Recessed Edge Lit Exit Sign Combo with LED MR16 Lamps is made of a high-polish, injection molded acrylic with squared edges. A red or green 'EXIT' stencil is molded into the acrylic, providing even light distribution. Single face units will be transparent while double face signs have a mirrored mylar sheet within the panel, mimicking the appearance of a see-through panel.

Battery

This OE2-636-LR1C-5WLED-S model includes a 6-volt Sealed Lead Acid battery. It provides emergency backup power to the exit sign and lights for at least 90 minutes, and only requires 48-hours to fully recharge. 

A push-to-test switch and LED pilot light on the bottom of the housing trim allows you to test the emergency readiness of the fixture. The LED will flash if any fault is detected in the circuit, LED lights or battery.
