All are possible with our patented Flush Mount Recessed LED Emergency Light, a fuly recessed battery unit with enough capacity for up to ten (10) additional remote LED floodlights!

When AC power is flowing, the LED lighting heads are kept retracted behind a hinged steel door, which disappears into your wall or ceiling surface like it was never there! When a power failure strikes, the door will swing open, and the dual lighting heads "reveal" themselves to provide 90 minutes of escape lighting. Best of all the RTM70-2(LG) combines low-watt LED lamps with a 70-watt rated capacity Nickel Metal Hydride battery that is safer for the environment than any other power source.

Construction

The RTM70-2(LG) consists of two compnents: (a) an unfinished steel backbox which contains the battery & circuitry and can be concealed into the wall; (b) the lighting box with an exposed flat door and frame. The door and frame are sprayed with a textured off-white powder coat finish which protects the metal from corrosion and discoloration.

Illumination

This commercial-grade architectural recessed battery unit has two (2) 4W LED MR16 lamps (equal to 12W halogen) which can be positioned to illuminate your path of egress. These lighting heads are quite bright, yet use on eight (8) watts of total power.

Battery

The RTM70-2(LG) includes a 12-volt Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-Mh) abttery which lasts up to eight (8) years and does not contain lead, calcium or mercury like SLA and Ni-Cd batteries. Ni-Mh also has a very fast recharge time of approximately three (3) hours. This battery provides 60-watts of additional battery capacity so you can power ten (10) additional LED remote heads, or exit fixtures.
