Product Description

As the plant manager of a Pork Processing Plant, it's your job to replace all the exit signage that has corroded over time due to grease and food particle buildup. Due to cutbacks in maintenance staff, you need fixtures that don't require cleaning and can sustain powerful water washdowns that would otherwise damage normal indoor fixtures

In this scenario you need the High Pressure Hose Down LED Exit Sign. It includes battery backup, keeping the red or green 'EXIT' legend running long after a power outage. The CEX-L is completely non-metallic and rounded, making it the most watershed egress luminaire we carry.

Construction

The CEX-L is constructed with a rounded acrylic 'EXIT' faceplate free of edges or sharp corners where food particles can collect. The end caps on either side of the sign are made of polycarbonate with a white finish. The fixture is completely sealed with a built-in gasket that prevents liquid from damaging the internal components. All fastening hardware is made of stainless steel.

This High Pressure Hose Down LED Exit Sign model has many options to choose from. Choose between single or double face units. Choose Red or Green LED light sources. This model comes standard as a wall-surface mount unit only. For ceiling or end-mount, you will need to order separate mounting kits.

Battery

This CEX-L model includes a rechargeable Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd) battery pack. It provides emergency backup power to the exit sign for at least 90 minutes, and only requires 48-hours to fully recharge. Ni-Cd batteries have the highest heat tolerance compared to other emergency batteries.

A sealed test switch and LED pilot light on the side of the exit sign allows maintenance personnel to diagnose the readiness of the sign and perform monthly battery discharge tests.
