The MINI-SQ-LW-RC is constructed with flame retardant, injection molded thermoplastic, which is rated to stay intact for at least 90 minutes in a conflagration before it reaches melting point. And to answer a common question; no, this emergency light does not include a remote control like your TV. However, the units battery has a higher-than-normal capacity which allows for an additional (1) or (2) LED lamps to be mounted away from the fixture. You can even place the remote head in an adjacent room from its MINI-SQ-LW-RC parent unit, reducing both the initial fixture price as well as future maintenance costs.
