Self-Testing

Self-testing emergency lights and exit signs are designed to automate monthly OSHA testing requirements. The models listed below come with self-diagnostic circuitry that constantly monitors the lamps, charger, circuit board, and battery. If there is an issue with the unit that requires service, a LED indicator light will flash in a certain pattern which will communicate what the problem is to the observer. Additionally, the self-testing emergency lights, exit signs, and combo units shown below will also automatically perform their monthly and yearly OSHA tests, which involves shutting off power to the unit to test the capabilities of the battery backup system. Literature is provided with each unit that explains how to operate the self-testing system the unit comes with. A push-to-test button is still included on each of the models shown below in case maintenance personnel would like to perform a manual test at any time.
