The Self-Testing Exit Sign features LED illumination and automatic diagnostics which alleviate monthly OSHA testing requirements and allow staff to observe the functional status of the unit via a series of LED lights. This is an extremely popular choice for those who would like to eliminate maintenance and improve the reliability and overall safety of their emergency lighting and exit sign systems.
This versatile thermoplastic exit sign is suitable for just about any indoor environment, and includes everything you need to install it. It comes with (2) faceplates and (1) backplate so it can be installed for both single and double-sided applications. It easy installs by the top, side, or back with a mounting bracket.
Construction
The CLX-RW-BB-SDT is constructed with a flame and corrosion resistant ABS plastic housing with a standard white finish. This plastic unit is perfect for Mom & Pop retail stores, hallways and offices with drop ceilings. The Self-Testing Exit Sign includes two removable 'EXIT' stencils and a solid backplate, so you can make this egress marker single or double sided. The stencil plates have knockout directional chevrons (arrows), so it can adapt to any exit strategy.
The CLX-RW-BB-SDT also includes a mounting canopy that allows you to mount to a ceiling or on the side of the sign for wall / flag mount configuration.
Battery
This CLX-RW-BB-SDT model includes a maintenance-free, Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd) battery pack. It provides emergency backup power to the exit sign for at least 90 minutes, and only requires 24-hours to fully recharge. Ni-Cd is the longest lasting battery type available, lasting an average of 15 years.
A push-to-test switch and LED pilot light on the bottom of the exit sign housing allows you to test the emergency readiness of the fixture. The LED will flash if any fault is detected in the circuit, LED lights or battery.
