The Severe Weather Emergency Light is one of the most durable fixtures available today. It features a NEMA 4X rated waterproof housing and NSF Rating for use in food processing and other similar type facilities. The Severe Weather Emergency Light is an industrial-grade battery backup unit that can be used in the most severe weather environments without worry of reliability. It is UL924 Listed and compliant throughout the United States.

The WSV18M-2-MK-D comes with (2) halogen 6-watt MR16 lamps that are protected by a hose-down rated polycarbonate shield. The fixture comes standard with self-diagnostics and a variety of options. Construction

The rear backplate on the WSV18M-2-MK-D is constructed with heavy cast aluminum, sprayed with a white baked-on powder coat finish that shrugs off constant high-pressure hose-downs and soap splatters. Tamper proof screws and special bit are standard with this model. The backplate is intended for wall, strut or or beam mounting.

A removable UV-resistant clear polycarbonate lens cover encloses the halogen MR16 lighting heads inside. The shield and back housing are completely sealed with a silicone gasket to prevent water, vapor or dust leakage.

Illumination 

This model in the WSV18M-2-MK-D Series includes two (2) 6-watt halogen MR16 swivel heads which can be positioned without a tool, and provides you with full beam angle control. This lamp type is more powerful than typical incandescent battery units, providing a brighter path of escape lighting.

Battery and UL Testing

Our Severe Weather Emergency Light includes a single 6V Lead Calcium battery, which supplies 18W of usable emergency power ideal for a nearby remote heads or exit signs. It is rated to provide two (2) hours of backup power, 30 minutes longer than the Underwriters Laboratories' 90 minute minimum.

This model comes standard with Auo-test (AT), a microprocessor that constantly monitors the lamps, circuits, battery voltage and input voltage for any flaws. AT also performs periodic battery discharge tests on a monthly basis and will alert maintenance personnel with a red, non-audible blinking LED light until the issue is resolved.
