An ideal fixture for mezzanines and stairwells, our Steel Emergency Light with 25W Lamps and Ni-Cd Battery emits bright pathway lighting during a power outage! The 12LSC50-2IG Series combines American-made quality in a lightweight metal case that is 110% Code Compliant.
The LS Series 12 Volt emergency light has a square, 20-gauge steel battery enclosure, powder-coated with an off-white baked enamel finish that protects the body from corrosion and impact (black available upon request). This model includes dual (2) top-mounted 25-watt DC bayonet base incandescent lamps in a Par-style composite head. The lighting heads are molded from impact-resistant thermoplastic in a matching color.
Battery
A maintenance-free 12 volt Nickel-Cadmium battery pack is Included with this commercial emergency lighting fixture. This shrink-wrapped package of rechargeable AAA-sized Ni-Cd batteries carries enough juice to run the heads for 90 minutes. The battery pack is covered under the three-year warranty and lasts approximately 8 years.
Maintenance Profile
A removable front panel on the cabinet provides quick access to the battery and charging circuit. For periodic UL924-mandated testing and battery discharge, a push-to-test button on the side of the housing allows maintenance personnel to quickly ascertain the operational status of the fixture and lamp load. Above the switch is a dual diagnostic LED display indicating AC/ON and High Charge.
Save a little money on maintenance costs with the optional Autotest (AT) feature which constantly monitors the status of the battery voltage, input voltage, lamps, battery and switching circuitry. Autotest will also perform a 30-second test monthly and a 90-minute battery discharge every six months, per code. Choose between Audible and Non-Audible alarm settings.
