Do you need a battery backup light with the equivalent power of two 35W halogen floodlights, but can't afford the heavy UPS batteries that drive them? Now you can get the same output with only a 12W capacity battery found in our Steel LED Emergency Light!
Our SEL-6-12-LED-5W is a classic steel emergency light enclosure that combines the energy-saving properties of LED lighting into a strong 20 gauge enclosure. The battery box is powder-coated white (black available upon request) with a baked enamel finish which protects the body from impact and corrosion. This model includes two (2) top-mounted MR16-Style 5-watt LED emergency lighting heads, molded from impact-resistant thermoplastic in a matching color. A convenient mounting pattern and several key hole slots are stamped on the rear, with conduit knockouts on the sides of each unit.
For periodic CSA-mandated testing, a push-to-test switch on the side of the housing allows maintenance personnel to quickly ascertain the operational status of the fixture and lamp load. Above the switch is a dual diagnostic LED display indicating AC/ON and High Charge. The AC-to-emergency switching circuitry inside is temperature compensated, and the SEL-6-12-LED-5W series utilizes a pulse switching charger that is up to 70% more efficient than most constant voltage chargers on the market. The SEL-6-12-LED-5W comes standard with a 6V sealed lead acid battery that has a 12W capacity, so this model is not recommended for use with additional remote heads.
