The futuristic EDGE-BB-R-S comes as single face (transparent) or double face (mirrored) panel and includes a mounting canopy for surface or j-box installation. This energy-saving edge lit sign will remain on at all times when normal AC electricity is flowing, and continue to stay lit for at least 1-1/2 hours after a power failure, complying with UL924 code.

Construction

The EDGE-BB-R-S has a cast aluminum housing with brushed finish. The bottom exit panel is made of a high-polish, injection molded acrylic panel with slightly rounded edges. A red legal sized 'EXIT' stencil is molded into the acrylic, providing even light distribution. 

The Surface Edge Lit Exit Sign with Red Letters and Aluminum Housing includes a universal mounting bracket for wall, ceiling or end installation. This model also includes stick-on chevrons (arrows) to indicate exit direction. Single face units will be transparent while double face signs have a mirrored mylar sheet within the panel, mimicking the appearance of a see-through panel.

Battery

This EDGE-BB-R-S model includes a 6-volt Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd) battery pack. It provides emergency backup power to the exit sign for at least 90 minutes, and only requires 48-hours to fully recharge. Ni-Cd is the longest lasting battery type available, lasting an average of 15 years.

A push-to-test switch and LED pilot light on the side of the housing allows you to test the emergency readiness of the fixture. The LED will flash if any fault is detected in the circuit, LED lights or battery.
