Product Description

As the Chief Engineer of a large hotel, it is your responsibility to install durable, weather-resistant green exit signs near doors that lead outside. These battery backup markers must be installed at floor level, so they have to take a beating from peoples shoes and catering carts running into it. Add to that, you need a low-maintenance solution so you don't have to check each sign all the time to see if they work.

Construction

The NAV-NC-G-1-B housing is constructed from .420" thick heavy duty cast aluminum with an attractive matte black finish. A 1/8" thick clear polycarbonate shield protects the sign legend and keeps it clear of dust, liquid and debris. A neoprene gasket creates a watertight seal between the housing and lens, protecting the fixture from the ingress of water or dust.

This Vandal Resistant Exit Sign with Green LEDs and Outdoor Rating includes two green 'EXIT' stencils and two faceplates, so you can make it single or double sided in the field. The polycarbonate face shields come standard with tamper resistant screws that can only be loosened with a special hex driver bit (included).

Battery

This NAV-NC-G-1-B model includes a maintenance-free, Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd) battery pack. It provides emergency backup power to the exit sign for at least 90 minutes, and only requires 48-hours to fully recharge. Ni-Cd batteries are also better suited for cold environments where sealed lead acid batteries could corrode or rupture.

By adding the Battery Heater option, the FTZ performs as a cold weather exit sign that can survive in temperatures as low as -4° F. Please note this will increase the product lead time one (1) extra week.
