Construction
The CP-EMW-8-LED-SA is constructed with heavy die cast aluminum backplate that is powder coated with a corrosion-blocking satin-aluminum finish.
A clear UV stabilized polycarbonate faceplate shields the lighting heads within and is highly resistant to vandalism. To meet IP66-Rating, a silicone gasket protects the inside cavity from dust, moisture or water ingress into the fixture. Tamper proof stainless steel hex screws are also available upon request.
The Weatherproof Emergency Light with 3.6W LED MR16 Lamps can be mounted to any inflammable wall or ceiling surface via a universal knockout pattern and key hole slots in the mounting backplate. If you would like an optional I-beam mounting bracket, please call us at 800-282-5600.
For freezers or any location that dips below 40° F, please choose the Internal Heater (IH) option which brings the operability range as low as -4° F.
Battery and UL Testing
The CP-EMW-8-LED-SA includes a 6V Nickel Metal Hydride battery that supplies emergency power for at least 90 minutes. The Ni-Mh battery requires only 48-hours to fully re-charge.
To maintain the battery's 5-7 year expected life span, a discharge test must be performed at monthly and bi-annual intervals. Luckily, the CP Series includes Autotest (AT) circuit which constantly monitors the lamps, battery and circuits. AT also performs all UL-required maintenance tasks for you!

Other Details
This emergency lighting unit comes with a 3-year factory warranty. Lamps and fuses are not covered under the warranty. Any deliberate damage, misuse, or improper installation effectively cancels the warranty.Product Videos
