Our Wet Location Green LED Exit Sign with Self Test is the perfect UL924 compliant battery backup fixture for outdoor areas. It is much more compact than standard wet location standby units. If you have a cold location that drops below 30°F, select an optional Battery Heater which can withstand -4°F temperatures!

Construction

The WLEX-G-BB-SDT is constructed with a flame-retardant polycarbonate housing with a White finish. A clear polycarbonate faceplate protects the sign legend and keeps it clear of dust, liquid and debris. A silicone gasket creates a watertight seal between the housing and lens, qualifying this fixtures UL Wet Location listing.

This Compact Wet Location Green LED Exit Sign with Self Test includes a green 'EXIT' stencil, and comes standard in single-sided configuration. The green stencil includes easy snap-out directional chevrons (arrows), adaptable to any exit strategy. The WLEX-G-BB-SDT includes a polycarbonate mounting canopy for ceiling or flag mount.

Battery

This WLEX-G-BB-SDT model includes a 4.8V rechargeable Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd) battery pack. It provides emergency backup power to the exit sign for at least 90 minutes, and only requires 48-hours to fully recharge. Ni-Cd is the longest lasting battery type available, lasting an average of 15 years.

Since UL, OSHA and all city Fire Codes require monthly operational tests, the Self Testing feature is an obvious time and cost saving solution for maintenance teams. It will constantly monitor the battery, circuits and LEDs as well as perform a 30-second test monthly and a 90-minute power failure test every six months. An LED indicator light will flash red if any fault is detected, alerting maintenance personnel.
